Every once in a while I’ll get a request for an Indian event that I’m unable to do because of scheduling conflicts. Fear not though, I still have you covered! Since I started DJing full time, it has been my belief that any good DJ (given ample music & direction) can play any style of music for any kind of crowd.

This was definitely the case for Tara & Matt’s wedding. They got married on September 24th, and had their reception at the Nasher Art Museum in Durham. The Nasher is a SUPER cool venue located very close to Duke campus. It has a beautiful modern feel to it, accented by all kinds of neat art pieces. Since I was unavailable, I enlisted the help of my close friend and colleague DJ Paradime. Tara and Matt wanted someone high energy and versatile to play a mix of Bollywood, Bhangra, 80s, 90s, and current Top40 tunes. Paradime was the perfect fit in my mind. We sat together and did a crash course on Indian music – needless to say he passed with flying colors. Bollywood nuts out there: you’ll be pleased to know that Paradime has taken an intense liking to the track “Chaiyya Chaiyya“!
Don’t take my word for it though, see what the bride and groom had to say
